About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team at Dunphy's Poultry Farm Ltd. as a key member of our logistics team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation of Goods: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, ensuring timely and safe delivery.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment, performing preventive maintenance and repairs as needed.
  • Logistics and Planning: Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, GPS, or other navigation devices to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, professionalism, and communication skills when interacting with customers, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Experience an asset, but not required.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Air Brakes Endorsement, valid driver's license, and other relevant certifications.
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding, with attention to detail, handling heavy loads, and sitting for extended periods.
