We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Power Engineer to join our team in Canada. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and guidance to clients across various industries, including mining.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical power systems design and analysis, as well as experience working with mine infrastructure and process control systems. They will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work effectively in a team environment.

Job Description:
As an Electrical Power Engineer at Stantec, you will be responsible for designing and analyzing electrical power systems for surface and underground mining operations. This will include developing detailed designs and specifications for power distribution systems, as well as conducting feasibility studies and assessments to identify potential issues or opportunities for improvement.

You will also be responsible for collaborating with other engineers and stakeholders to ensure that project deliverables meet client expectations and regulatory requirements. Additionally, you will be expected to maintain a high level of knowledge of relevant industry codes and standards, and stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in the field.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you will need to have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university, and a Professional Engineering license. You will also need to have a minimum of 5 years of experience in heavy industry, particularly surface or underground mining.

A key requirement for this position is your ability to analyze complex electrical systems and develop effective solutions. You will also need to be proficient in software tools such as ETAP, EasyPower, and SKM, and have excellent communication and presentation skills.
