Software Engineer for Engine Test Systems

Job Summary: Standard Aero is seeking a skilled Software Engineer to design and implement data acquisition and control systems for testing gas turbine engines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop software for Engine Test Cell data acquisition and control using C#, SQL, and LabVIEW.
- Integrate multiple data acquisition devices into a system capable of monitoring temperatures, pressures, rotational frequency, vibration, fluid flow rates, and other characteristics of a live running engine.
- Support current engine test systems by responding to test failures, implementing new feature requests, and updating due to test requirement change or strategic initiatives.
- Communicate with stakeholders, OEM's and co-workers to gather needs/wants and translate them into technical requirements.
Requirements:
- University degree in Computer Engineering with experience in software development, control systems, or data acquisition.
- Knowledge of software design and documentation processes.
- Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio,.NET.
- Knowledge of database architecture and design.
- Familiarity with software development and build tools.
- Strong capabilities for organization, decision making, and verbal and written communication.
- Experience with troubleshooting technical problems and providing solutions.
- Ability to travel to various locations.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with National Instruments LabVIEW.
- Experience with C# and SQL.
- Experience using Data Acquisition Systems to acquire and analyze data.
- Experience with control systems.
