Job Description- We are seeking an experienced Site Superintendent/Carpenter Foreman to join our dynamic Construction division.
- This role involves supervising onsite labor and subcontractors to ensure projects are delivered accurately and on time.
- The ideal candidate must implement quality, health, and safety standards onsite through effective communication and shared knowledge with others.
- Managing on-site construction activities, including project coordination, planning, scheduling, estimating, material requisitioning, and cost-control.
- Supervising and coordinating personnel and subcontractors.
- Ensuring schedules are followed and projects are executed effectively within budget.
- Effectively communicating with senior managers and support personnel.
- Maintaining site safety according to our Corporate Safety Program and legislative requirements.
- Inspecting work to ensure quality and compliance with specifications.
- A strong understanding of various construction disciplines, including interpretation of construction drawings, safety regulations, scheduling, cost-control, and other areas of business.
- Prior experience with lean construction systems, industrial construction, or other relevant fields would be beneficial.
- Proficiency in computer programs such as Microsoft Project, Outlook, Excel, BIM, and Procore is an asset.
- 5+ years of supervisory experience in general construction.
- Solid interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively and independently when necessary.
