We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at City Property Management, a division of Carrington Group of Companies.

About the Role

As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing in-suite maintenance and property maintenance to ensure our properties are maintained to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate suite turnovers, including move-out inspections, drywall repair, patching, painting, installing hardware, door adjustments, and coordinating with trades for major fixes.
  • Respond to tenant maintenance requests submitted through our communication portal.
  • Carry out inspections of facilities to identify and resolve issues.
  • Check electrical, fire, and plumbing systems of buildings to ensure functionality.
  • Conduct move-out inspections for vacating residents, noting any maintenance issues and ensuring units are ready for the next tenant. Document and report damage or repair needs.
  • Troubleshoot, install, and repair minor plumbing fixtures, piping, and related equipment.
  • Monitor and keep updated records of equipment inventory and place orders when necessary.
  • Keep maintenance log and report daily activities to the Property Manager.
  • Maintain relationships with third-party contractors and service providers.
  • Assist with plumbing, electrical, and HVAC issues, as directed.
  • Assist with landscaping tasks, snow removal, trash removal, and other routine maintenance duties to keep the property in top condition.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a maintenance technician or a similar construction role is required.
  • Good understanding of technical aspects of plumbing, carpentry, and electrical systems is required. Must have experience painting and completing drywall repairs.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products is required.
  • Must be able to lift 75 lbs.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license is required.

Estimated salary range: $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience.
