Job Title: Senior Cost Engineer for Oil and Gas Refinery Projects

This role requires relocation to Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. The company engages in the exploration, production, transportation, and sale of crude oil and natural gas. The role involves working in the upstream, downstream, and corporate sectors.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Senior Cost Engineer to join the Riyadh Refinery Department (RRD) within the project unit of our engineering division. The RRD engineering project unit is responsible for the comprehensive planning and execution of all projects throughout our Riyadh Refinery facility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing technical support across all cost-related matters within the refinery's projects.
  • Coordinating cost engineering activities independently and as a leader or member of project management teams.
  • Analyzing project costs, preparing estimates, monitoring budgets, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Maintaining project quality and adherence to schedules.
  • Optimizing project performance and ensuring cost efficiency across various engineering projects at the Riyadh Refinery.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering, Construction Management, Economics, Business Administration, or a closely related discipline.
  • Minimum of 12 years of cost engineering experience in projects, including at least 10 years in the design, construction, or operation of refining or petrochemical facilities.
  • Overall knowledge of computer-estimating programs such as Aspentech CCE (Capital Cost Estimator), Timberline, etc., and familiarity with estimate databases such as Means, Richardson, and SAP.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or AACECCP (American Association of Cost Engineers Certified Cost Professional) or AACECEP (American Association of Cost Engineers Certified Estimating Professional) certification is preferred.
