About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Optometric Assistant to join our team at N.S Corporation. As an Optometric Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our optometrists in providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Assist in the administration of tests and procedures, ensuring accurate and efficient results.
    • Record and maintain patient records, including test results and medical history.
    • Perform general clerical duties, such as answering phones and responding to emails.
  • Support to Optometrists
    • Assist optometrists in the assessment and diagnosis of patients, including preparing patients for exams and procedures.
    • Provide support in the development and implementation of patient care plans.
  • Equipment Maintenance
    • Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of ophthalmic testing and measuring instruments.
    • Perform routine checks and calibrations to ensure equipment is functioning properly.
  • Inventory Management
    • Manage inventory of equipment and supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels and ordering as needed.
  • Communication
    • Develop and maintain effective communication with patients, optometrists, and other healthcare professionals.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience
    • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
  • Personal Qualities
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
    • Organized and able to prioritize tasks effectively.
    • Team player with a positive attitude.
Working Conditions
  • Work Environment
    • 35 hours per week, permanent position.
