The Senior Mechanical Engineer is responsible for designing and developing robust and innovative medical devices and equipment to support the commercialization of company-developed products.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead technical development projects, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards are met.
- Research design options and perform experiments to determine potential design feasibility.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design for manufacturability, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Develop and test new manufacturing processes, specifying and managing tool development as needed.
- Create and release product requirements, design specifications, and design descriptions for assigned projects.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering; MS or PhD preferred.
- 8+ years of related technical experience, with a proven history leading all areas of design, prototyping, testing, and qualification.
- Strong knowledge of SolidWorks and SolidWorks add-ins, as well as plastic injection mold tool design.
- Able to define project goals and delivery dates, making independent judgments using sound engineering principles and techniques.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to write concisely and accurately.
