About the Role

The Local SEO Specialist will play a key role in improving our clients' local search engine rankings and online presence. This is a hands-on role that requires a strong understanding of local SEO principles and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and publish high-quality content on Google Business Profile (GBP) to improve local search visibility
  • Develop and present SEO reports to clients, providing actionable insights and recommendations to drive business growth
  • Audit and update citation sites across the web to ensure accuracy and consistency
  • Monitor local SEO keywords and adjust strategies accordingly
  • Collaborate with the Accounts team and other departments to ensure seamless execution of local SEO tasks
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest local SEO trends and best practices, and communicate new ideas and strategies to the team

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in local SEO, with a proven track record of success
  • Post-secondary education in marketing, communications, or a related field
  • Previous experience managing GBP listings and/or social media campaigns
  • Experience managing local SEO efforts for multiple clients, with a focus on the travel and hospitality industry
  • Working knowledge of Google Analytics or other analytics tools
  • Demonstrated ability to write and create high-quality content for SEO and/or social media
  • Hands-on experience auditing and updating online citations
  • Comfortable presenting reports to clients and able to clearly explain rationale for decision making
  • Able to take constructive criticism as a learning opportunity and apply feedback as needed
  • Knowledge of online marketing channels and marketing tactics outside of organic search or local SEO
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized with the ability to function in a fast-paced business environment
