Job Summary:
As a Contract Negotiation and Management Lead, you will play a key role in ensuring the execution of strategic sourcing, planning, and sourcing strategies for business lines. This includes facilitating complex bid processes for goods and services, identifying and mitigating risk, drafting and negotiating contracts, providing advice and solutions, training, and educating business units about procurement policies.

Your responsibilities will include working closely with business lines to proactively plan sourcing and providing industry-specific expertise on procurement and sourcing strategies, coordinating the open tender process and negotiating contracts, managing upstream procurement content and strategic supplier relationships, resolving issues and disputes, contributing to the development and maintenance of procurement knowledge of other team members, interfacing with contract management stakeholders for processing and resourcing support, providing input into objective setting for procurement and sourcing for CMHC, and providing expertise and support for the development, implementation, and management of corporate contracting policies and procedures.

The ideal candidate will have a post-secondary education in business or degree in business administration, finance, or a related field, and a minimum of five years of public IT procurement experience working in a diverse environment with three+ years of experience facilitating complex bid processes. Strong knowledge of the principles and practices of public procurement, privacy legislation, current trade agreements, public sector procurement standards is also required. Additionally, you must possess excellent customer service skills and the ability to build effective working relationships and influence decisions by explaining the impact that recommendations have on both the business unit and the organization.
