Job Requirements

We are seeking a highly experienced professional to join our team as a Contaminated Sites Professional.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Hold an undergraduate degree or diploma in a relevant science field, with a graduate degree preferred.
  • Have at least 15 years of post-graduation experience in environmental consulting, specifically managing contaminated sites, and 7+ years of project management experience.
  • Be proficient in Stage 1 and 2 Preliminary Site Investigation, Detailed Site Investigations, Site Profiles, and legal instruments methods according to the BC Ministry of Environment and Climate Change Strategy (ENV), as well as Phase I to III ESA (CSA Z768-01 and CSA Z assessment protocols).
  • Have experience working with CSAPs and Ministry-issued instrument application processes for investigations subject to applications for legal instruments, with reviews by Contaminated Sites Approved Professionals/ENV.
  • Understand contaminant hydrogeology and monitoring well design and sampling, with demonstrable experience in assessing soil and groundwater contaminant interactions, including Conceptual Site Models.
  • Have experience with soil vapour sampling, testing, and modelling, as well as site remediation (soil and groundwater) design, remedial action planning, supervision, and confirmation remediation reporting.
  • Be proficient in software for word processing, data management, and presentations, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Have excellent organization skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines within a team environment.
  • Be able to travel and hold a valid driver's license.
