About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Butcher, Retail Specialist to join our team at Sector 7 Kitchen + Bar. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring that our customers receive the highest quality meat products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cutting and Preparing Meat: Cut carcasses, sides, and quarters to prepare for processing or cutting. Prepare special cuts of meat ordered by customers and cut, trim, and prepare standard cuts of meat.
  • Meat Preparation and Packaging: Wrap and package prepared meats, remove bones from meat, and cut poultry into parts.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, answering questions and making recommendations to customers on meat products.
  • Store Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized store environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Teamwork: Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve sales goals and provide exceptional customer service.
Work Environment

This is a physically demanding role that requires standing for long periods, lifting heavy objects, and working in a fast-paced environment. You must be able to work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.

Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a retail or food service environment.
  • Skills: Accurate, team player, physically demanding, hand-eye coordination, attention to detail.
