Job Description

The City of Penticton is seeking a highly skilled Engineering Technologist II to join our Engineering and Design team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of our infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct quality control inspections and oversee construction work to ensure compliance with standards and specifications.
  2. Maintain accurate records, prepare progress reports, and liaise with internal and external contacts.
  3. Complete survey work, assist with design, and prepare construction estimates.
  4. Exercise independent judgment and action in performing inspection, survey, and related work within established guidelines.

Requirements:

  1. Civil Engineering Diploma or Degree and registration with ASTTBC or EGBC.
  2. 2-5 years of civil engineering experience, preferably in a municipal environment.
  3. Valid Class 5 BC Driver's Licence.

Position Details:

Position Type: Full-time Permanent (35 hours per week)

Wage: $41.32 - $45.91 per hour (Pay Grade 14, CUPE)
