Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Information Systems Specialist to join our technical team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for system and network operations, as well as supporting, developing, testing, and implementing various programs and IT systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • System Administration: Engage in the efficient design, provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of enterprise systems hardware/software and associated infrastructure.
  • Technology Evaluation: Evaluate new and evolving technologies while analyzing business needs to propose solutions and provide recommendations for continuous improvements.
  • Project Planning: Plan, organize, and execute projects and support initiatives.
  • Infrastructure Administration: Company-wide administration of hardware & software.
  • IT Support: Provide IT support for both internal staff and external client stakeholders, providing corrective action, root cause analysis, and implementation of improvements.
Requirements
  • Education: Post-Secondary School Graduation with a bachelor's degree or diploma in the Information Technology field.
  • Experience: Proven experience (minimum of 8 years) as an IT systems administrator with a focus on server administration, networking, cloud technologies, and cyber security.
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server and Active Directory, as well as demonstrated experience specifying, installing, configuring, and managing various technologies, including hyper converged infrastructure solutions, next generation firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, VPNs, web and email filtering, email, anti-virus systems, network access controls, security information and event management tools, storage area networks, network attached storage, data backup & recovery tools, load balancers, and virtualization.
  • Certifications: Professional certifications such as MCSE and/or CCNP are a strong asset.
  • Cloud Platforms: In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms such as Microsoft 365, Azure, or AWS Cloud Platform.
  • SSO Implementation: Experience with SSO implementation across SaaS applications.
  • Virtualization: Experience with virtualization technologies such as Nutanix or Scale.
  • Infrastructure Planning: Strong knowledge of infrastructure planning and development along with technical knowledge of hardware, protocols, and standards.
  • Business Management Software: Capable of implementing and using business management software, documentation reporting solutions, and project management tools.
  • Process Improvement: Process improvement and system integration experience with new technologies.
  • Communication Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail with a focus on Quality Assurance and Incident Management.
  • Hardware/Software Lifecycle: Experience managing hardware/software lifecycle and assigned projects.
  • Network Security: Certification and/or experience with network security is an asset.
