Job Title: Long Haul Truck Driver
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team at Lordco Auto Parts. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for delivering automotive parts and accessories to customers in a safe and timely manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and maintain inventory
- Communicate with customers regarding order status
- Load and unload freight using forklifts and pallet jacks
- Sort freight at the crossdocking facility
- Work with staff to ensure seamless customer service for the customer
- Drive company vehicle to deliver automotive parts and accessories to customers in a safe and timely manner
- Maintain daily vehicle logs
Requirements:
- Class 1 license with MANUAL TRANSMISSION
- Must have forklift and pallet jack experience
- Clean drivers abstract preferred
- Dangerous goods experience is an asset
- Mountain/winter driving experience an asset
- Electronic log usage is an asset
- Great people skills and ability to integrate with many teams
- Ability to lift items up to 50lbs and knowledge of workplace safety procedures and the ability to adhere to the Lordco Occupational Health and Safety program
- Ability to communicate effectively in person and over the phone
- Willingness to work away from home for 2 nights per week
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Time management and problem-solving skills
