Job Summary

This is a challenging opportunity for a seasoned Automation Testing Lead to join the Royal Bank of Canada team. Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Execute Test Plans: Develop and execute test plans for large-scale projects, ensuring that objectives are accomplished on time.
  • Develop Reusable Test Automation Scripts: Develop reusable test automation scripts to increase efficiency and reduce testing time.
  • Integrate Test Automation with DevOps Pipeline: Integrate test automation with DevOps pipeline, including application of CI/CD principles.
  • Ensure Scalable Automation Test Scripts: Ensure that scalable automation test scripts are up-to-date and well-documented.
What You Will Do
  • Manage Concurrent Initiatives: Manage the implementation of multiple concurrent initiatives of varying complexity in a time-efficient manner.
  • Identify and Mitigate Risks: Continuously identify potential issues, conflicts, and risks, and analyze, mitigate, and escalate where appropriate.
  • Maximize Automation Testing: Responsible for maximizing automation testing for all project deliverables.
  • Set Up Automated Suites: Responsible for setting up automated suites on DevOps pipeline (HELIOS/JENKINS).
  • Develop and Execute Automated Test: Develop and execute automated test, generate automated reports from qTest and JIRA.
Requirements
  • Leadership Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in leading, developing, and implementing functional test strategies with change management experience in complex programs with high frequency of requests and multiple priorities.
  • Technical Skills: Experience in Python programming with SQL to automate applications and setting up integration with CI/CD pipeline, Github, Jenkins, Teradata, and qTest.
  • API Testing: Experience in API Testing via RESTFUL API with understanding of response code management.
  • qTest and JIRA: 1-2 years of experience working with qTest and JIRA, including publishing automated reports using API's available for qTest and JIRA.
  • Communication Skills: Demonstrated ability in written and oral communication skills along with strong presentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Data Lake and Data Warehouse: Deep understanding of Data Lake and Data Warehouse concepts, with working knowledge of Snowflake.
  • Strategic Thinking: Strategic thinker with excellent interpersonal skills to work across functions and businesses.
  • VB Macro: Experience with use of VB Macro.
  • Openshift, Docker, AWS, and Rundeck: Knowledge of Openshift container platform, Docker, AWS, and Rundeck.
