Job Summary

Koala T Care Daycare is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and engaging environment for children to grow and develop.

Key Responsibilities
  • Bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers with care and attention to their needs.
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that support the growth and well-being of children.
  • Lead activities that stimulate creativity, imagination, and learning through storytelling, songs, and educational outings.
  • Encourage children to express themselves through various forms of art, music, and physical activity.
  • Guide children in developing healthy habits, such as eating, dressing, and using the bathroom.
  • Submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors.
  • Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and challenges faced by children.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with colleagues and community service providers.
  • Plan and maintain a safe and healthy environment for children.
Requirements
  • College, CEGEP, or non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1-2 years.
  • Experience in childcare is an asset.
  • Emergency child care first aid and CPR certification.
  • Membership in the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE).
Working Conditions
  • 35-40 hours per week.
