Job Title: Construction Labourer

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Construction Labourer to join our team at H-Ex Outdoor Living and Excavations. As a Construction Labourer, you will be responsible for assisting in the construction process, including loading and unloading materials, reading blueprints, and operating equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials
  • Read blueprints to determine work requirements
  • Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades
  • Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt
  • Level earth to fine grade specifications
  • Pave and rake asphalt
  • Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites

Requirements:

  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience
  • Valid driver's license
  • Own transportation
  • Steel-toed safety boots
  • Cellular phone
  • Rain gear

Work Environment: The work environment will be outdoors, noisy, dusty, cold/refrigerated, and hot.

Work Setting: The work setting will be a construction site, with equipment operation.

Equipment and Machinery Experience: The successful candidate will have experience with bobcats, concrete vibrators, screeds, reciprocating saws, circular saws, concrete saws, mortar and concrete mixers, jackhammers, air compressors, air guns, nail guns, drills, trampers, chain saws, compactors, forklifts, and sledgehammers.

Construction Specialization: The successful candidate will have experience in driveways, residential, sidewalks and curbs, and poured concrete.

Transportation/Travel Information: The successful candidate will need to own transportation and have a valid driver's license.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: The successful candidate will need to be physically demanding, have hand-eye coordination, and be able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs).

Personal Suitability: The successful candidate will need to be accurate, dependable, reliable, a team player, and hardworking.
