Technical Art Expert

At Electronic Arts, we are looking for a skilled Technical Artist to join our Battlefield team. As a Technical Artist, you will play a crucial role in defining, creating, and managing the project's art tools and workflows.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with art and engineering stakeholders to enhance efficiency and quality through process modifications or tool creation.
- Troubleshoot technical issues with the art team, both in the DCC packages and in the game engine.
- Participate in art asset and level reviews, with an eye towards identifying technical concerns and risks.
- Monitor, analyze, report, and provide guidance on game performance and memory usage.
- Maintain and facilitate cross-discipline communication on technical matters.
- Adapt and learn new techniques and processes.
- Develop an inclusive work environment.
Requirements:
- Prior experience as a Technical or 3D Artist within the games industry.
- Experience of a full development cycle of AAA games is an asset.
- Solid knowledge of 3D and 2D content creation software (such as Maya, Substance, ZBrush).
- Experience with asset integrations into a game engine.
- Aptitude for self-directed learning of new technologies and processes.
- Experience writing scripts/tools in Python, C# or C++ is an asset.
- Understanding of modern lighting and rendering techniques is an asset.
- Empathy for addressing the problems of others and a respect for their time and ability to receive and share constructive criticism.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills programmers, and designers.
