Key Responsibilities
  • Drive the transformation and optimization of our data ecosystem to enhance innovation and strategic decision-making.
  • Architect scalable and efficient data pipelines that support critical business functions, including editorial, subscription management, and advertising.
  • Integrate advanced analytics and machine learning models into our infrastructure, unlocking actionable insights from our governed data.
  • Ensure that our systems not only address current operational needs but also align with our long-term business objectives, enhancing predictive capabilities and securing a competitive edge in the digital publishing landscape.
Requirements
  • Leverage Snowflake, AWS, and Databricks to design and implement robust data pipelines that seamlessly integrate across diverse environments.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, ML engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to devise elegant solutions for complex data challenges.
  • Implement encryption, access controls, and compliance measures to safeguard data.
  • Contribute to defining the organization's Data Governance framework and champion data democracy and literacy.
  • Fine-tune queries, indexing, and ETL processes to transform raw data into actionable insights with maximum efficiency.
  • Manage, prepare, and structure data to support ingestion by machine learning models, enabling our AI initiatives.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, automation, and efficiency across data teams.
