Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist II to join our team at BC Children's and Women's Hospital in Vancouver, BC. As an Occupational Therapist II, you will be responsible for providing occupational therapy assessments and treatment programs for clients/patients in the medical surgical area.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy assessments and treatment programs for clients/patients in the medical surgical area.
- Develop and implement occupational therapy treatment plans to meet the individual needs of clients/patients.
- Document information including relevant clinical data, assessments, treatment plans, progress reports, and outcomes.
- Assess the need for specific client/patient equipment and assist clients/patients and families to obtain equipment to meet individual needs.
- Maintain communication with clients/patients and families to foster optimal progress.
- Participate in multi-disciplinary groups and teams to ensure quality care is delivered in a timely and effective manner.
Requirements
- Baccalaureate in Occupational Therapy and licensure with the College of Health and Care Professionals of British Columbia (CSHBC).
- Two (2) years of recent related experience, including one (1) year in pediatrics or an equivalent combination of education, training, or experience.
- 50 hours of post-graduate coursework/training related to additional procedures, techniques, and job functions for assigned area.
