Job Title: Assembly Component Operator

MaxSys is hiring on behalf of our major client in the west end of Ottawa. This role is a great stepping stone to begin a career with a globally recognized medical manufacturing and research facility.

Position Summary:

This is an exciting career opportunity for a detail-oriented individual seeking a change of pace with great pay. This job will allow the individual to grow with the company while expanding their knowledge and learning new hands-on skills.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Assemble raw materials and conduct sample builds to ensure product functionality and conformance to specifications.
  • Make adjustments to the Klockner machine and identify defects as required.
  • Install fluid bags on the line and run builds to ensure maximum productivity.
  • Perform regular visual inspections of product during the build in accordance with guidelines and procedures.
  • Identify problems with raw materials or process and take immediate actions necessary to consult the operational team leader for advice or assistance.
  • Evaluate quality and productivity problems to minimize defects and maximize productivity.
  • Make required material changes in a timely manner to minimize lost processing time.
  • Record accurate, legible data in a timely manner and keep a good record of observations, findings, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Understand and comply with applicable EHS policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Job Requirements:
  • A High School diploma, or equivalent from an accredited institution is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and attention to details.
  • Ability to complete assigned work requests and solve problems in an effective and timely manner.
  • Ability to work well in a cross-functional fast-paced environment.
