Job Description

Job Title: French & English Tutor - Part-time Position

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: $17 - $19 / hour

Schedule: Evenings, Monday to Thursday, Saturday availability

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced French and English tutor to join our team at Oxford Learning Centres, Inc. as a part-time tutor. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching French and English to students in a small group setting, using our proprietary methodologies and philosophies.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach French and English to students in a small group setting
  • Follow our proprietary methodologies and philosophies
  • Filling in post-lesson notes
  • Completing daily student communication updates
  • Maintaining a friendly and professional manner at all times

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or similar certification in a relevant field
  • University students with extensive tutoring experience will be considered
  • Teaching certification an asset
  • Good knowledge of the current Grades 9-12 French core curriculum
  • Some experience teaching/tutoring French at a Grade 9 to 12 (or equivalent) level
  • Strong English written and oral communication skills
  • Strong French skills and ability to guide students' understanding
  • Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time
