Job Title: Plumber - All Levels

Trotter & Morton Group of Companies is seeking a skilled Plumber to join our team. As a Plumber, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining domestic, commercial, or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems, water supply networks, and waste and drainage systems.
  • Install, repair, and maintain plumbing fixtures and systems, including pipes, valves, and fittings.
  • Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes, and fixtures in walls and floors.
  • Cut openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipes and pipe fittings.
  • Measure, cut, bend, and thread pipes using hand and power tools or machines.
  • Select the type and size of pipe required and measure, cut, thread, bend, clamp, solvent cement, or solder pipe.
  • Assemble and install valves and fittings.
  • Join pipe sections and secure them in position.
  • Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges.
  • Install sinks, tubs, and toilets.
  • Install underground storm sanitary and water piping systems.
  • May provide information to supervisors for preparation of cost estimates.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures, including Trotter & Morton's Health and Safety program.
  • Responsible for reporting any unsafe work practices to Supervisor.
  • Responsible for mentoring and training apprentices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Must possess a valid Journeymen Certificate/Interprovincial Red Seal.
  • Must have Construction Safety Training System (CSTS).
  • Minimum of four years of experience in the trade and 6000 hours.
