Job Type: Casual, Part Time

About the Role:

We are seeking a compassionate and energetic individual to assist in the planning, organizing, and implementation of meaningful programs for our residents. As an Activity Aide, you will work collaboratively with our Program Manager and facility volunteers to promote a team environment and support the well-being of our residents.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning and implementation of activities and programs that promote socialization, recreation, and relaxation for our residents.
  • Work co-operatively with the Program Manager and facility volunteers to promote a team environment and support the well-being of our residents.
  • Assist with the maintenance and good human relations with residents, families, volunteers, and staff of other departments.
  • Follow Occupational Health & Safety standards and participate in in-service education.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Community college recreation certificate or diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience working with seniors in a long term care setting.
  • Good communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Computer skills an asset.
  • Valid driver's license.
