About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Finish Carpenter to join our team at Rainbow Siding Ltd. as a Construction Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of finishes in our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and Interpret Blueprints: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements and ensure that all construction projects meet the required standards.
  • Prepare and Layout Work: Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools to ensure accuracy and precision.
  • Measure, Cut, and Assemble Materials: Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials to ensure a high-quality finish.
  • Build and Install Structures: Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems to ensure a sturdy and secure structure.
  • Maintain and Repair Buildings: Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in various establishments, including mills, mines, hospitals, and industrial plants.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
  • Physical Demands: The role requires physical stamina and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent lifting, bending, and standing.
