Job Title: Software Developer II/Analytics

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Developer II/Analytics to join our team at Comtech Telecommunications Corp. As a key member of our R&D department, you will be responsible for designing and developing software solutions for big data and analytics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and architect high availability big data scalable repositories
  • Develop, design, code, unit test, debug, integrate, document, and participate in the full life cycle of software development activities based on AGILE principles
  • Attend meetings, report progress, take technical leadership, and ownership of assigned design work
  • Work can be performed remotely or from our office in Gatineau, Canada

Requirements:

  • University degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science
  • Knowledge of C#/.NET programming
  • Knowledge of Power BI, Python, and GoLang
  • Solid experience with data modeling and analytics
  • Proven experience using RESTful Web Services, JSON
  • Good knowledge of Cloud-based data solutions (AWS/Azure)
  • Knowledge of Continuous Integration and Source Control
  • Independent self-starter, positive work ethic
  • Comfortable in a team environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Language: English or French, bilingual will be considered as an asset
