Job Description: As a Community Development Specialist, you will be responsible for fostering community among the 26 youth/young adults living in The Refuge's affordable housing apartment complex. Your key responsibilities will include hosting large and small group gatherings, providing guidance and support, and being a positive presence in the building.
Required Skills and Qualifications: To succeed in this role, you will need to possess a deep commitment to a holistic approach of proclaiming the good news of Jesus Christ and God's Kingdom. You should also have related experience, education or training regarding homelessness, poverty, mental health and working with youth.
Benefits: This is a part-time position of 20 hours/week, offering a competitive salary scale based on education and experience. You will also have the opportunity to live in the 'missionary suite' of the apartment complex at a subsidized rate.
