We are seeking an experienced Environmental Manager to join our team at Lamb Weston. As an Environmental Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the environmental sustainability of our operations, championing and supporting our EHSS Pillar Team, Green Team, and Sustainable Development Program, and conducting environmental audits and regulatory inspections.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will have a strong background in environmental management, with a focus on sustainability and compliance. You will be responsible for developing and implementing environmental policies and procedures, conducting environmental risk assessments, and ensuring that our operations are in compliance with relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement environmental policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant regulations
- Conduct environmental risk assessments to identify potential risks and opportunities for improvement
- Champion and support our EHSS Pillar Team, Green Team, and Sustainable Development Program
- Conduct environmental audits and regulatory inspections to ensure compliance with relevant regulations
- Develop and implement corrective actions to address any environmental non-compliances
- Participate in environmental audit processes at other facilities to share best practices and improve our environmental performance
- Review environmental data and information to identify trends and potential areas for risk reduction, and own environmental key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Communicate potential environmental risks to facility operations leadership and corporate environmental leadership based on evaluation of environmental data
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as environmental science, engineering, or a related field
- 5-7 years of progressive experience in environmental management, with a focus on sustainability and compliance
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to influence and motivate others
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present to large and small groups
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address environmental risks and opportunities
