About the Role

The Obsolescence Management Specialist will be responsible for reviewing and evaluating current obsolescence management processes, leading the implementation of obsolescence management tools and processes, and working with program teams, supply chain, and product leads to determine hardware and software obsolescence management needs and help define solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and evaluate current obsolescence management processes
  • Lead implementation of obsolescence management tools and processes
  • Work with program teams, supply chain, and product leads to determine hardware and software obsolescence management needs and help define solutions
  • Develop and maintain Obsolescence Management Plans
  • Support technology, software, and component selection
  • Monitor and report status of component obsolescence
  • Perform predictive analysis for impact dates of obsolescence issues, from design and build through In-Service Support (ISS), including updates/upgrades/tech refresh/tech insertion considerations, up until disposal phase

  • Perform Reliability-Centred Maintenance Analysis
  • Perform Maintenance Analysis
  • Develop Maintenance Plans
  • Perform Sparing Analysis
  • Perform Support and Test Equipment Analysis
  • Write Technical Manuals
Requirements
  • College Diploma
  • 8+ years of Engineering experience
  • 5+ years of Obsolescence Management experience
  • 3+ years of ILS experience
  • Good familiarity with Microsoft (MS) Office applications
  • Good written communication skills
  • Be effective in a team environment
Desired Skills
  • 5+ years of Team Lead experience
