Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Senior Railcar Helper to join our team at Procor Limited. As a key member of our repair facility, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our railcar fleet.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform repairs and maintenance on railcars, including cutting and welding, air arc gouging, and other tasks as required.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation for completion of rail car repairs in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Inspect railcars for damage or defects, and perform necessary repairs to ensure safe operation.
  • Read, comprehend, and follow repair orders and procedures.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Strong mechanical background with competent and safe use of hand tools and power equipment.
  • Must be able to read and understand written work orders, material safety data sheets, complete work write-ups, and other paper and computer work.
  • Prior railcar repair experience or similar, and knowledge of AAR standards an asset.
  • Ability to work in an environment with continuous exposure to outdoor weather conditions with dust, fumes, and noise.
  • Valid driver's license required and reliable transportation to get to and from work.
