Telecommute Infrastructure Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure Architect to join our Network and Telecom team at the University of Lethbridge.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing the university's IT infrastructure, including data centre design and operation, network design, strategy, and technical direction.
As a key member of the network team, you will provide high-level leadership and planning for IT infrastructure direction and architecture on campus.
You will be responsible for providing advanced network analysis in situations involving complex technologies and will work closely with the Director of Infrastructure to ensure the overall infrastructure architecture, analysis, management, and support.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement IT infrastructure, including data centre design and operation, network design, strategy, and technical direction
- Provide high-level leadership and planning for IT infrastructure direction and architecture on campus
- Provide advanced network analysis in situations involving complex technologies
- Work closely with the Director of Infrastructure to ensure overall infrastructure architecture, analysis, management, and support
- Provide guidance, training, and mentoring for other staff, including the Systems and Security teams

RequirementsThe successful candidate will have an undergraduate degree in Computing Science or a related discipline and several years of experience in network, telephony, system administration, or related fields.
Professional designations related to networking are an asset.
Canadian citizens and permanent residents will be given preference, in accordance with Canadian immigration requirements.
