Technical Expertise Required

Agnico Eagle is seeking a Metallurgical Technician to join our Process Plant Department. As a key member of our team, you will provide metallurgical expertise and technical support to ensure efficient and optimal plant performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the analysis of plant data and the development of related metallurgical accounting, recordkeeping, and reports;
  • Perform metallurgical testing and analysis of results, including sampling, sizing, density check, pH monitoring, and cyanide analysis;
  • Assist with the day-to-day operation of the Gold room, adhering to safety and housekeeping standards;
  • Assist with plant sampling, surveys, research, and development;
  • Maintain online analysis equipment throughout the Process Plant;
  • Promote a positive health, safety, and environment culture and the Internal Responsibility System;
  • Understand, promote, and live by the five Life Saving Rules.

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Metallurgical Engineering Technology or the equivalent combination of experience and education;
  • Minimum three years' experience working in a mineral processing plant, with preference in a gold processing plant;
  • High level of integrity and accountability;
  • Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications, especially Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
