Financial Planning and Analysis Director

At Egis Canada Ltd., we are seeking a highly skilled Financial Planning and Analysis Director to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for analyzing financial data, creating financial models, and reporting on financial performance. Your expertise will be crucial in developing financial forecasts, tracking performance against budget, and conducting financial analysis to support strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyzing financial data and creating financial models for decision support;
- Reporting on financial performance and preparing for regular leadership reviews;
- Developing financial forecasts and tracking the performance against budget;
- Conducting financial analysis to support strategic initiatives;
- Evaluating financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts;
- Providing insights into business performance and suggesting improvements;
- Maintaining financial data integrity and accuracy;
- Developing, implementing and maintaining financial databases and systems;
- Working closely with various departments to understand their financial needs and supporting them in financial planning;
- Communicating financial insights and recommendations to management;
- Performing ad-hoc analysis and financial modeling as required;
- Supporting special projects and initiatives as needed.
Requirements:
- Completion of a university degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field;
- MBA or relevant professional certification;
- 10 years of demonstrated experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably within an engineering consulting firm;
- Proficient in financial software and tools (e.g. Excel, Oracle, Deltek);
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy along with excellent time management and organizational skills;
