Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and efficient Household Assistant to join our team at Private Household. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our home, as well as performing various domestic tasks.

Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors, dust furniture, vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies and upholstered furniture, make beds and change sheets, stock linen closet, pick up debris and empty trash containers, launder clothing and household linens.
  • Housekeeping and Organization: Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, maintain the organization and cleanliness of our home.
  • Additional Tasks: Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis, work in employer's/client's home, staff accommodation available, staff accommodation provided.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate or diploma.
  • Experience: Experience an asset.
  • Work Environment: Non-smoking.
  • Work Setting: Employer's home.
  • Security and Safety: Criminal record check.
  • Transportation/Travel Information: Public transportation is available.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Repetitive tasks, physically demanding, attention to detail, bending, crouching, kneeling.
  • Weight Handling: Up to 9 kg (20 lbs).
  • Personal Suitability: Efficient interpersonal skills, initiative, judgement, organized, reliability.
