Job Summary

The Manager, Finance and Administration is a key role at Saskatchewan Polytechnic, responsible for overseeing the financial and administrative operations of the institution. This position reports to the Director, Finance and Administration and is accountable for ensuring the effective management of financial resources, human resources, and administrative processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Management
    • Develop and implement financial plans and budgets to ensure the effective management of financial resources.
    • Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
    • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and policies.
  • Human Resources Management
    • Oversee the recruitment, selection, and training of staff.
    • Develop and implement human resources policies and procedures.
    • Ensure compliance with human resources regulations and policies.
  • Administrative Management
    • Develop and implement administrative policies and procedures.
    • Ensure compliance with administrative regulations and policies.
    • Provide leadership and guidance to staff.
Requirements
  • A relevant undergraduate degree in Commerce, Administration, or Management.
  • A Research Administration designation (Cert. R.A.) and CORE training.
  • Five to seven years of relevant experience in a mid to senior level management capacity.
  • Supervisory experience is an asset.
