Job Title: Senior Hydrologist

GEMTEC Consulting Engineers & Scientists Limited is seeking a highly skilled Senior Hydrologist to join our Fredericton office.

About the Role:

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Senior Hydrologist to lead our hydrotechnical projects. The successful candidate will have a strong background in water resources management, hydrology, and civil engineering.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a team of technical staff to deliver high-quality projects.
  • Provide technical expertise and direction on complex hydrotechnical projects.
  • Review and approve designs, proposals, and reports to ensure they meet our high standards.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate project managers and other discipline leads to ensure project deliverables are met.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities and support corporate business development initiatives.
  • Collaborate with other departments and external partners to deliver projects.
  • Report to corporate management on project and financial performance.
  • Participate in Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) initiatives and enforce policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Water Resources, Hydrology, or Civil Engineering.
  • 10-20 years of relevant experience in hydrotechnical projects.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Proficient in analytical and modeling techniques, including HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, and SWMM.
  • Previous consulting experience is an asset.
  • Currently registered with the Atlantic Professional Engineers Association.
