Education and TrainingOur ideal candidate will have a college certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year, focusing on concrete finishing techniques.
Key Responsibilities- Inspect formwork, granular base, and steel reinforcement materials to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Direct the placement of concrete into forms or onto surfaces, adhering to precise grades and specifications.
- Correct minor defects and imperfections in freshly poured concrete, using hand and power tools to achieve a smooth finish.
- Operate power vibrators to compact concrete, guaranteeing density and stability.
- Level and finish the top surface of concrete, verifying it meets the required depth and grade specifications.
- Work safely at heights, utilizing scaffolding or swing stages as needed.
- Apply a range of finishes to concrete surfaces, from simple to intricate, using hand and power tools.
- Install steel fixtures, such as anchor bolts and plates, while ensuring precise alignment and quality.
- Apply hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces, protecting them from the elements.
- Restore, repair, and resurface worn or damaged concrete structures, maintaining quality and durability.
- Estimate material costs and quantities, ensuring accurate planning and resource allocation.
- Interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications accurately, verifying compliance with project requirements.Work Experience and Environment
We are looking for candidates with 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field, with a strong focus on permanent employment. The ideal candidate will be available to work 30-35 hours per week, communicating fluently in English.
