Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Operations Manager to join our team at Valery Homes. As a key member of our financial department, you will play a crucial role in supporting the CFO and driving business growth through effective financial management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist and support the CFO in achieving the Financial Department's goals and objectives.
  • Plan, manage, and coordinate all accounting operational functions for both development and property management divisions.
  • Prepare financial statements, spend reports, and analysis for various developments.
  • Ensure timely HST and WSIB filings and assist where necessary.
  • Prepare cash flow analysis and cash call requirements for JV/LP arrangements.
  • Complete month-end close procedures for all entities and provide monthly operational reports to the CFO.
  • Maintain accurate and complete supporting information for all financial transactions.
  • Work with the CFO to improve internal operating efficiency and refine current procedures.
  • Present operating results for all developments and monitor progress against budgets.
  • Prepare quarterly management reports for rental projects and assist with presentation to the Executive Team.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance.
  • Minimum 5 years of accounting experience in a senior accounting or similar role.
  • Previous experience in the home builder/developer or construction industry is preferred.
  • Accounting designation CPA, CMA, or CGA preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Compensation

The estimated salary for this position is between $80,000-$120,000 per year, depending on experience.
