Job Description

This role is primarily responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of fueling equipment, providing exceptional service to our customers, and maintaining the highest standards of health, safety, security, and regulatory compliance.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Receive work orders and obtain necessary tools for repairs;
  • Transport vehicles to be repaired by driving, towing, or pushing into service bays;
  • Inspect parts and/or motor vehicles to identify defective or broken components;
  • Repair diesel engines, hydraulic, electric, and mechanical systems;
  • Obtain replacement parts, install, and/or make repairs as required;
  • Complete work orders and provide status on any open work orders;
  • Evaluate and address complex repairs that require direction or approval for ordering parts;
  • Ensure safe and secure operations in accordance with statutory requirements;
  • Perform additional duties such as changing batteries, tires, oil, and minor repairs.
Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A qualified Heavy Equipment Technician – Truck and Transport Mechanic or equivalent, with a minimum five years of related experience;
  • Demonstrated knowledge of heavy-duty diesel/automotive equipment;
  • Experience in troubleshooting and repair of complex hydraulic and electrical systems;
  • The ability to operate various power and hand tools safely;
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals;
  • Flexibility to work all hours/days, including nights, weekends, and holidays as dictated by operational requirements;
  • A clean driving record and ability to obtain and hold all required security clearances and airport driving permits.
Estimated Salary Range:

$60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on location and qualifications.
