About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sign Language Interpreter to join our team. As a Sign Language Interpreter, you will facilitate communication between students who are deaf or hard of hearing and their teachers, peers, and other educational staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide sign language interpretation services in a variety of settings, including classrooms, meetings, and special events.
  • Communicate and collaborate with teachers, staff, and students to ensure that students who are deaf or hard of hearing have equal access to education.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, staff, and parents to ensure that students who are deaf or hard of hearing feel supported and included.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in sign language interpretation and deaf culture to ensure that you are providing the best possible service.
Requirements:
  • Completion of a recognized interpreter training program or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of field experience.
  • 500 hours of practical clinical experience.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification.
