Drywall Installation and Finishing Job Description

At Double G Constructions Corp., we are seeking a skilled Drywall Specialist to join our team. As a Drywall Specialist, you will be responsible for installing and finishing drywall sheets in commercial and residential settings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Apply, level, and smooth coats of plaster to create a smooth surface.
  • Finish corners and angles, and create decorative designs in the finish coat, if required.
  • Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets to ensure a secure and even fit.
  • Mix plaster ingredients to the desired consistency.
  • Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists.
  • Spray acoustic or texture materials over walls and ceilings.
  • Install corner beads and wire mesh around beams to which plaster is to be applied.
  • Prepare wall and ceiling layouts.
  • Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
  • Bending, crouching, kneeling.
  • Hand-eye coordination.
  • Handling heavy loads.
  • Physically demanding.
Weight Handling:
  • Up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
Own Tools/Equipment:
  • Hard hat.
  • Steel-toed safety boots.
Personal Suitability:
  • Team player.
Experience:
