About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Support Specialist to join our team at the University Health Network (UHN). This is a unique opportunity to be part of a dynamic team that provides technical support to various departments across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support for hardware and software issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimizing downtime.
  • Assist users with network access issues, including Wi-Fi connectivity and VPN problems.
  • Create and update documentation for IT processes, troubleshooting guides, and FAQs to aid in resolving common issues efficiently and promoting self-service among users.
  • Provide telephone, live-chat, email, and in-person support to end-users.
  • Act as the subject matter expert in Technical Support products and services.
  • Provide incident and problem management support in accordance with established Technical Support SLA.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A 3-year community college program in a computer-related field or recognized equivalent.
  • Working knowledge of Windows 10/11, Microsoft Office 2016 or higher, and Office 365.
  • A+ certification preferred.
  • Possesses working knowledge of Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) principles/ITIL Foundation required/ITIL Practitioner preferred.
  • Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) certification preferred.
  • Operational understanding in managing medium to large-scale environments (> 500 systems) for regular provisioning, patching, applications packaging, and deployment.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health and dental coverage, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
