About the Role:

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all concrete work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety.

You will work closely with our experienced team of contractors to lay and finish concrete surfaces, including floors, walls, and foundations.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for:

  • Checking formwork, granular base, and steel reinforcement materials to ensure they meet the required specifications.
  • Directing the placement of concrete into forms or onto surfaces according to grade.
  • Filling hollows and removing spots on freshly poured cement.
  • Operating power vibrators to compact concrete.
  • Leveling top surface concrete according to grade and depth specification.
  • Working at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages.
  • Imparting desired finishes to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools.
  • Installing anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills, and other fixtures.
  • Applying hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces.
  • Waterproofing, damp proofing, and restoring surfaces.
  • Repairing, resurfacing, and replacing worn or damaged sections of concrete structures.

Your responsibilities will also include:

  • Maintaining a safe working environment by adhering to all health and safety protocols.
  • Participating in regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and take corrective action.
  • Contributing to the development of procedures and guidelines to improve efficiency and productivity.
About You:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • 2 years of experience in a related field, preferably in the construction industry.
  • A strong understanding of concrete finishing techniques and materials.
  • The ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks.
What We Offer:

We offer a competitive salary of CAD $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits and opportunities for career growth and professional development.
