Electrical Technician Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to electrical systems and equipment.

  • Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate electrical schematics, specifications, and guidelines for diagnosing, fixing, and setting up standard and emergency power systems up to 600V.
  • Install electrical circuits, devices, and appliances, including illumination fixtures and life safety systems.
  • Measure, cut, thread, and set up electrical conduits.
  • Position motors, transformers, and lighting fixtures according to plans and complete circuits as specified.
  • Examine and repair lighting systems, emergency power systems, alarm systems, HVAC systems, and medical apparatus.
  • Replace or mend defective components of electrical systems.
  • Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance for power equipment, alarm systems, and medical devices.
  • Perform routine maintenance checks for HVAC systems and air conditioning units.

Qualifications:

  • Possession of a valid Ontario Electrician Certificate.
  • Post-secondary education or equivalent practical experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the field.
  • Proficient computer skills and familiarity with CMMS & BAS.
