The College of New Caledonia is seeking a qualified instructor to teach our Skilled Worker Access Program, which provides essential skills training for students pursuing careers in the skilled labour industry.
About the RoleThis part-time position will involve teaching a variety of courses related to Math, Computer Basics, Skills for Success, Trades, and Work Readiness Training at our Mackenzie campus.
Required Skills and Qualifications- A Certificate of Qualification and/or Inter-Provincial Red Seal Certificate in the related trade are required for trades courses.
- Five years' experience working in industry is also required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills in both individual and group situations are necessary.
- Preference will be given to applicants with recent trade experience and proven teaching and/or supervisory experience.
Candidates who possess a strong commitment to safety practices and can foster a safety-first culture with students and in the CNC community will be considered.
Successful candidates will promote a positive work atmosphere and communicate in a professional manner that demonstrates mutual respect with students and colleagues.
We are looking for team players who actively contribute to and accomplish the vision, mission, and goals of the College, while supporting the aspirations and needs of our learners and communities.
