CB Canada is seeking an experienced Network Engineer/Technical Architect to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for network architecture, planning, administration, maintenance, and documentation creation & upkeep. Your technical leadership will oversee all network and communications services, including monitoring and analysis. You will work closely with our large-scale, collaborative, and regionally diverse technical teams to create roadmaps, plan, architect the network, and manage network resources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and architect networks with in-depth knowledge of network operations, solution design & deployment, system and network administration, reporting and analysis, and change management.
  • Manage and maintain network infrastructure, including switches, routers, and various network services.
  • Collaborate with our technical teams to create and implement network roadmaps, plans, and architectures.
  • Provide technical leadership and expertise to our network operations team.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including network diagrams, configuration files, and operation procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Work effectively with our vendors to manage network resources and services.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in a network engineering role with in-depth knowledge of designing and architecting networks.
  • Proficient experience with Fortinet products within an Enterprise environment.
  • Exceptional skill and experience with Vendor management.
  • Proven ability with Azure cloud computing platform.
  • Advanced knowledge of enterprise network operations, solution design & deployment, system and network administration, reporting and analysis, and change management.
  • Expert knowledge of Fortinet firewall solutions.
  • Solid ability with Windows Networks.
  • Strong knowledge of switches, routers, and various network services.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce business and technical documentation.
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, able to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language, along with good facilitation skills.
  • Highly self-motivated, self-directed, and attentive to detail.
  • Fortinet certification required, MCP with Azure Specialization.
  • Post-Secondary Degree or Diploma in Computer Science or equivalent.
