Key Responsibilities:

  • Plans and prepares year-end financial statements according to the determined needs of the client.
  • Communicates with clients and external organizations to ensure all necessary information is obtained to complete project work.
  • Prepares individual and corporate tax returns for clients – including T1, T2, T3s, and T4's as well as their supplementary filings and statements.
  • Assists clients with personal tax planning, when necessary.
  • Performs quarterly external accounting services for clients, including HST filings.
  • Attends to EHT filings, payroll remittances, and WSIB remittances for clients.
  • Assists clients with their day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting needs/queries.
  • Deals with communication to the CRA on behalf of clients during CRA Audits/Reviews.
  • Attends client sites where necessary to complete client work.
  • Assists, trains, and mentors students and junior team members on the client work that is delegated to them.
