About the Opportunity:

The University of Toronto Scarborough is seeking a highly skilled Multimedia Content Developer to join our Information & Instructional Technology Services team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing a plan for the use of multimedia that supports strategic communications objectives.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and recommend production topics to align with the University's strategic goals
  • Plan and develop pre-production video ideas into outlines, scripts, and storyboards
  • Present creative multimedia work to clients for approval
  • Research and recommend new materials, equipment, and manufacturers to enhance our multimedia capabilities
  • Troubleshoot routine equipment repairs to ensure seamless production
  • Conduct photography and/or videography shoots to capture high-quality content
  • Edit post-production audio and/or visual material to ensure polished final products
  • Maintain a repository of digital media records for easy access and reference

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Media Production, Communication, Broadcasting, or related field, or an acceptable combination of equivalent experience
  • Minimum six to seven years of direct experience in a variety of video/photographic productions
  • Experience creating video productions that engage and inform audiences
  • Demonstrated creativity and ability to tell original, compelling stories through multimedia content
  • Extensive experience using video production equipment, including DSLR cameras, mixers, editing software, and audio equipment
  • Expertise in sound and lighting design, color correction, color grading, and audio mixing
  • Proven experience turning innovative story concepts into reality through multimedia content
  • Experience researching and recommending production topics to align with strategic goals
  • Experience conducting photography and/or videography shoots to capture high-quality content
  • Superior communication skills, both oral and written
  • Strong video project management skills and a deep understanding of content marketing best practices
  • Demonstrated ability to perform filming, photography, and editing duties independently
  • Creative, resourceful, and solutions-oriented, with a strong ability to manage priorities, multitask, and meet deadlines
  • Strong organizational skills and highly developed relationship-management skills

Pay Scale Group & Hiring Zone:
USW Pay Band 13 -- $84,813. with an annual step progression to a maximum of $108,463. Pay scale and job class assignment is subject to determination pursuant to the Job Evaluation/Pay Equity Maintenance Protocol.
