Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position is $45,000 per year, with additional benefits including dental plan, health care plan, and vision care benefits. The work term is permanent, and the work language is English. Work hours are 30 hours per week.

Job Description

This Early Childhood Educator Assistant Manager role involves supporting and assisting early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children. Responsibilities include bathing, diapering and feeding infants and toddlers, developing and implementing child-care programs, storytelling, ordering supplies and equipment, and guiding and assisting children in the development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A College/CEGEP diploma or equivalent qualification;
  • Experience as an early childhood educator assistant or in a related field (experience an asset);
  • Knowledge of licensing regulations; and
  • Ability to establish guidelines for behavior and lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs and taking children to local points of interest.
Certificates, Licences, Memberships, and Courses

The ideal candidate will possess relevant certificates such as Emergency Child Care First Aid and CPR, Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate, and First Aid Certificate.
